Easy to Read

A method of presenting written language to make it easier to understand. Easy
Read is one way of making information more accessible to people with learning disabilities

egocentric

considering one's own person as the center of all happenings;
judging everything in relation to one's own person and showing a corresponding attitude

Empowerment

The process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling
one's life and claiming one's rights.

European Commission

The EU’s politically independent executive arm. Its core responsibilities
include proposing EU laws and policies and monitoring their implementation.

European Disability Forum

An independent organisation representing the rights of 80 million
persons with disabilities in Europe. It is a unique platform which brings together representative
organisations of persons with disabilities from across Europe and is run by persons with
disabilities and their families.
